Travertine tiles are a very dense form of calcium carbonate and although a limestone, travertine tiles are more usually considered as a marble. Colours vary from pale to dark cream with attractive surface variegation. Used since Roman times as a building material, travertine tiles with their unique qualities as a flooring material, have been used for many domestic and commercial applications.
Granite originates under high pressure in deep layers of the earth, which makes it one of the hardest and therefore wear resistant kind of natural stone. Granite shades mostly vary from light grey to black, although other colours do exist.
Basalt is a very hard volcanic rock that can easily be compared to granite. With an overall uniform shade, basalt is excellent for today s minimalist decor.
Slate stones are found in the fine, compact layers in a quarry. Its natural cleft surface can give a rough appearance which is often desired in today s markets.
Jura Limestone is one of the hardest wearing and colour consistent stones of its type. The natural characteristics of the stone requires some preparation in order to improve natural faults such as filling open holes and small quartz veins with polyester resin. This procedure is necessary to guarantee perfect quality and in no way depreciates the value of the stone.
Beltraline offers a new perspective for flooring using natural stone. As the tiles are rectified and calibrated, there is a considerable improvement in working efficiency.
